Mark Kikta is a Partner and a member of the Firm’s Tax, Estate Planning and Real Estate practice groups. Mark serves as legal counsel to various businesses and their owners, and provides consultation in all aspects of Federal, state and local taxation; wealth transfer and business succession planning; and structuring and implementation of business transactions.
Mark received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Anthropology, and masters degree in Medical Anthropology from Case Western Reserve University. Mark received his law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Mark is licensed to practice in all Ohio courts, the United States Federal Court for the Northern District of Ohio, and the United States Tax Court.
Mark is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the Cleveland Museum of Arts Planned Giving Council, the Cleveland Zoological Society’s Planned Giving Committee, and is on the Board of Directors for the Lake Erie Council Eagle Scout Association. Mark has lectured for the Ohio State Bar Association, the National Business Institute and Lorman Education Services on topics such as Federal individual, entity and gift/estate taxes, as well as various and state and local tax issues.
Mark is actively involved in Scouting as Scoutmaster of Troop 462 (Holy Trinity Church, Avon, Ohio), and enjoys hiking and camping. He and his wife regularly attend events benefitting Scouting, the Cleveland Zoo, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and other local non-profit organizations. Mark, his wife, and their son Mark reside in Avon, Ohio.
