SCOTT R. POE
Scott is a member of the firm’s Civil Litigation practice group. Scott focuses his practice on civil and commercial litigation, including breach of contract, shareholder disputes, non-compete and non-disclosure violations, workers’ compensation defense, mechanics liens, employee unionization and sexual harassment claims.
Scott received his undergraduate degree in History from Capital University with minors in Philosophy and Political Science. Scott received his law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and graduated magna cum laude in the top ten percent of his class. While in law school, Scott worked on the Cleveland State Law Review. He also published a Note titled, Inconsistent Methods for the Adjudication of Alleged Mentally Retarded Individuals: A Comparison of Ohio's and George's Post-Atkins Frameworks for Determining Mental Retardation, 54 Clev. St. L. Rev. 405 (2006).
Scott is admitted to practice before all Ohio courts, and is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
Scott enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family. Scott resides in Lakewood, Ohio.
